Miss(ed) Manners

You remember logic from middle school math right?

If A then B, therefore C, Always D equals E, and so on and so on.

That was a co-ed class right? I mean, I think I remember seeing some girls in my class.

Or was there a completely different class for girls? One where A = B, except for when I say it doesn’t is an acceptable answer and a given at the beginning of a proof. Where conditionals have more to do with hormones than factual relations.

Logic. Reason. The world was built by these things. They’ve endured the eons for a reason.

Please give them a chance, ladies.

This message goes out to every single woman I’ve ever had contact with. Ever.

  1. Getting a woman to be logical and not emotional/irrational/whimsical?

Good luck with that one, Dave.

Does no-chance-in-hell mean anything to you?

Besides, being utterly unpredictable from day to day is a charmingly endearing quality, right?

  2. That’s you: http://xkcd.com/55/

You can formulate Punnett squares, develop algorithms using Fulkerson’s base, and create intricate matrices to explain away your “factual relations” but do you think that’s really going to work?

We’re more like String Theory. Mathmatecially forming a theory of gravity that actually works, while fooling you into thinking the entire process is self-consistent. Impossible to prove and just as unlikely to disprove.

By nature, the fairer sex you despair upon is mercurial. There are varying dilutions of this affliction, so find one that has a one to one billion ration instead of one to one. Good luck with that, by the way.

P.S. It’s only charmingly endearing when she isn’t volatile for no apparent reason. Why do girls do that?!

  3. wanna talk logic?? my brother’s girlfriend (ex i should say) was unhappy with the relationship, so she cheated on him…logical right?

you know, instead of ending the relationship in a mature and relatively painless manner.

  4. I know it was an extremely obvious point to make… but damn it if I haven’t wrestled with it my entire life. Logic makes sense because it’s logicAL… so why shouldn’t one be able to convince anyone, regardless of sex, of anything, so long as there is logical proof of said fact?

And 😆 at “string theory.” Excellent analogy.

  6. i think if anyone complains about the opposite gender, they should be forced to turn gay for 6 months. isn’t much easier either way.

  7. That’s a very logical suggestion, Andria.
